Ted A. Petrillo
Principal
As the fourth generation in a family business, Ted A. Petrillo has overseen all phases of the development process for Westage, including site selection and acquisition, building design and construction, site planning and engineering, government approvals, financing, leasing, sales and marketing. In addition, Ted handles the asset management of the Westage Portfolio and its day-to-day operations.
His exclusive focus on healthcare real estate development over the past 15 years has made him an expert in all facets of medical real estate development.
Ted has a degree in Business Administration from Mercy College. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York and Connecticut, as well as a CCIM candidate.
Ted is an active member of the business community and has served on the boards of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation and Elant, a non-profit provider of health and housing solutions in the Hudson Valley.
Ted Petrillo
Founder
Ted Petrillo (1925 – 2015), with his unique vision that led to the creation of many of the region’s most prominent and successful healthcare developments. As founder of Westage Companies, Ted brought over 50 years of experience as a successful real estate developer and owner.
Ted attended Notre Dame University for two years before leaving to serve his country in the US Navy during World War II. Upon his return, Ted continued his education and received his Business and Civil Engineering Degree from NYU. He began his career shortly thereafter.
Ted built everything from shopping centers to high-rise residential buildings. However, it was healthcare that led to his crowning achievements. He developed his first medical office building in 1996 on the campus of Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, and exclusively developed healthcare facilities after that.
Ted was a well-respected leader in healthcare real estate development and had numerous affiliations that included the International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute and New York Mortgage Bankers Association. He maintained board affiliations with the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation, Vassar Brothers Medical Center and Mid-Hudson Pattern for Progress, which in 2010, awarded him its Lifetime Achievement Award.
